Jan 2 - Groomer and drag ventured out last night to tackle the western portion of the KSA system. Main trail from Indian Bay through to the Water Nipper Warmup Shelter were completed, plus areas around The Gate, both upper and lower portions of Number 2, and Alley's Pond area (water out trail towards Moccasin Pond so that'll be looked at next trip). Groomer didn't venture pass Third Brook Bridge due to the water there, so couldn't reach Boot Pond Road.
Jan 3 - Groomer is put back all together once more and has headed out on the trail system heading to all points east.
Jan 4 - Groomer has returned to Indian Bay after completing the eastern section of the KSA area. Main Trail from Indian Bay through to the end of the Dump Road is completed, plus Valleyfield Branch, Greenspond Road, and 32 Branch area. Aiming to head out again this evening on other portions of the trail.
Jan 5 - Main Trail from Indian Bay to Boot Pond Road and back is done, plus 37 Branch, Number 2 area, Moccasin Pond area, The Gate, and Groomer Trail leading to Indian Bay. Crew also met up with Gander groomer at Boot Pond Road
Jan 9 - Groomer went for a run last night and completed the Main Trail from Indian Bay through to the Water Nipper Warmup Shelter, turned around and completed Moccasin Pond, Number Two/Little Bear Cave area, The Gate area, and back to Indian Bay
Jan 11 - Solid day of grooming is done, with the Main Trail from Indian Bay through to the end of the Dump Road completed, along with Valleyfield Branch and Greenspond Road area. Unfortunately, 32 Branch area wasn't done due to a mechanical issue that forced the groomer back for maintenance. Issue isn't major, so it'll be ready to go whenever conditions allow for future grooming.
Jan 19 - Main Trail Completed Overnight. Work was completed on the trail system overnight, with areas on the Main Trail from Indian Bay down to Valleyfield Branch, back through the Gate, and into as far as Alley's Pond and up Moccasin Pond areas done. Those areas had washouts that required work and they were dealt with, however, please use caution when on the trail for further washouts or downed trees (cut those if you're out and about please). Hopeful the groomer, with drag, will be out tonight and with the cold temperatures following for the rest of the week, grooming should be pretty much on schedule moving forward (updates will be provided as the process continues).
Jan 21 - The groomer completed all sections of the eastern portion of the KSA trail system overnight. This includes Old Jingle, Indian Bay Groomer Trail coming off the bog and connecting with Country Road, Main Trail down to the end of the Dump Road, Valleyfield Branch, Greenspond Road, and all areas in 32 Branch. Groomer returned to Indian Bay. All indications point to the groomer heading back out this evening to finish the other areas of trail system.
Jan 22 - Groomer completed almost all of the western sections of the KSA Trail system overnight. Main Trail from Indian Bay, 37 Branch, through the Gate, Number 2 Pond area, Moccasin Pond, Alley's Pond area, and through to the Water Nipper Warmup Shelter at Third Brook Bridge (didn't go pass the bridge due to high water levels), and return to Indian Bay.
Jan 25 - The majority of the western sections of the KSA trail system were completed overnight. Main Trail from Indian Bay through to the Water Nipper Warmup Shelter was completed.
