The Snowmobile Communities of Interest (COI) is made up of a group of influencers and local advocates across Newfoundland and Labrador. They have a shared passion, experience or interest in snowmobiling and work together help increase awareness, engagement and visitation in our province.

They are dedicated to connecting more people to snowmobiling by creating #SnowmobileNL content.

Chad Colbourne

Chad Colbourne Bishops Falls, NL

Chad is an avid snowmobiler residing in Bishops Falls, Newfoundland. He is heavily involved with the Exploits Trailnet Snowmobile Club and is currently the Grooming Coordinator of the club. He has been on a sled since he was four years old and now shares his passion for snowmobiling with his two daughters. His favorite riding is in the backcountry and he loves how you can access it through the trail network across the island. In the off season he can usually be found camping or ATV’ing with his family. He is always up for an adventure!

Patrick Anderson

Meet Patrick, an avid snowmobiler who has been riding since the age of two! He is from Bonne Bay, located on the West Coast of Newfoundland, and spends a lot of his time snowmobiling in the backcountry, averaging well over 1000 km every season. Patrick is a hobbyist photographer and takes pride in capturing awesome photos and videos while riding in the backcountry. He is the main content creator and publisher for social media page “Ride NL” which was created by him and his riding buddies. He also participated in local sno-cross and drag race events since he’s been of age, and has been successful in doing so!

Janice Goudie

Janice lives in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Labrador and is a lover of the snow. She grew up fighting her older brother for their short track Bravo, and these days she follows the tail lights of her husband because she refuses to be a backseat passenger. They make the most of their trips by heading up the coast, having a boil up somewhere around Lake Melville, or just hitting the trail for a night ride.

Craig Borden

Craig has been on snowmobiles his entire life. He is driven by his lifelong passion for the snowmobiling industry and his personal love for the sport. He is the owner/operator of the well established business “Rugged Edge” and is heavily involved in every aspect of snowmobile related activity on a local and provincial level. He has been involved with the Western Sno-Riders Snowmobile Club since its inception over 25 years ago, and is also a Board Director of the NLSF. Craig has been successful in raising a positive image of recreation snowmobiling and promoting all of the hidden gems Newfoundland has to offer.

Dru; professional photographer and full time fun-haver from the beautiful west coast of Newfoundland. Basically, a self-described 32 year old teenager who is very fortunate to be a father and husband, and in his free time is usually living off the premise of trying to have more fun today than he did yesterday... and isn't afraid of putting in the hard work to do so. Appreciates adventures - especially those attached to two bindings, or two pedals - that come loaded with snacks, views, and good company.

Jerry Goudie

Jerry was born and raised in Nunatsiavut but currently resides in Happy Valley Goose Bay, Labrador. He is a board member of the local Grand River Snowmobile Club and has been a police officer for over 22 years. He is also a snowmobile safety instructor and conducts training courses for the RCMP. He has snowmobiled as far North as Nain, Nunatsiavut but also enjoys the powder in Lewis Hills, Gros Morne, Central Newfoundland and Mealy Mountain National Park.

Glenn Green

Glenn was born and raised in Corner Brook and an avid snowmobiler for over 40 years. He is the current president of the Western Sno-Riders Club as well as a moderator and content provider for the clubs social media channels. He is Board Director and snowmobile safety instructor for the NLSF and a member of the Trail Enforcement Safety Committee. Glenn is a father of two and has a son who is a hardcore rider like his dad!

Josh Bingle

Josh is an avid snowmobiler living in Labrador City. Snowmobiling has been a passion since his childhood, and has transformed from riding around his parents garden on a Kitty Cat to free riding in the backcountry and adventure trips in Labrador, Quebec, British Columbia and Alaska. Photography has become a big part of his life because of snowmobiling allowing him to capture moments to be shared. He has been privileged to be part of the media crew for Cains Quest from 2006-2016. Snowmobiling has brought many amazing adventures and people into his life and it’s a privilege for him to live and ride in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Jason Folkes

Born and raised in Grand Falls-Windsor, Newfoundland, Jason has been working as a guide in the outdoor adventures industry for nearly 30 years. He is the owner of “Central Expeditions” wilderness retreat and touring company, and “Hideaway Lodge,” a big game hunting lodge, both located in Central Newfoundland. He is a skilled woodsman and is as much at home riding the backcountry trails. His love for wildlife and nature is evident, not only from his observations while snowmobiling and hiking but also by the amount of time he spends at his lodge and enjoying the great Newfoundland outdoors. His physical strength is surpassed only by his great sense of humor and wit, and you can be rest assured you will be in capable hands while in his company.

Meet Joey, born and raised in Woody Point, Newfoundland. Joey was introduced to snowmobiling at a very young age and grew up riding with his family... he still enjoys it to this day. If you don’t find him riding the trails, he could be grooming them! He’s been a groomer operator with the Tablelands Snowmobile Club for the last 6 years. He is certainly a familiar face at any sno-cross or drag race on the island and has been racing since he was 16 years old. He enjoys anything involving recreational vehicles and the outdoors.

Dustin Boyd

Dustin is an Engineer from Central Newfoundland. Now living in Holyrood, he is a two-time Cain’s Quest racer, sled collector, tinkerer and tuner! Once a pure adrenaline seeker, Dustin’s passion has shifted to making memories with his wife and two daughters who share his love of snowmobiling, and exploring the backwoods of Newfoundland.

Rob Clarke

You may know Rob through his Newfoundland Backcountry Adventure business “Rob Clarke Motorsports”. Rob is an experienced guide and his passion has always been exploring the backcountry. His father introduced him to exploring his neck of the woods in Central Newfoundland when he was just a kid. Riding big red trikes, they covered hundreds of kms of old logging roads... from there he was hooked. This was his drive to start his own business and share his passion for backcountry riding to the world. He loves to showcase Newfoundland’s breathtaking views, scenic trails and never ending mountainous terrain while stopping for a traditional Newfoundland boil up along the way.

Donnie OKeefe

Donnie is no stranger to the snowmobiling community in Newfoundland. Former Executive Director of the NLSF, and past president of the Western Sno-Riders Club, he is now a loyal volunteer, and can even operate a groomer! He resides at the base of Marble Mountain in Steady Brook, which is a dream come true for him. If he could take two months off every year it would be March and April… spring riding is his favorite. He is a father of two, lover of the outdoors and is a huge advocate of Newfoundland and Labrador and all it has to offer.
