Public Safety Advisory

ATTENTION SNOWMOBILERS – PYNN’S BROOK AREA

Corner Brook Pulp and Paper Limited would like to inform the public of an active wood hauling operation on the Pynn’s Brook Road from the TCH to Grand Lake by way of the Glide Lake Branch.

SNOWMOBILERS ARE ADVISED THAT PYNN’S BROOK ROAD WILL REMAIN ACTIVE
UNTIL JANUARY 19, 2018 AND SNOWMOBILING IS NOT PERMITTED ON PLOWED
ROADWAY

Anyone planning to snowmobile in this area is advised not to use plowed roads to snowmobile, and to park pickups and trailers only in areas designated for public parking.

An alternate route is currently being explored to accommodate snowmobile traffic between Pynn’s Brook and Deer Lake.

Corner Brook Pulp and Paper would like to thank all snowmobilers, firewood cutters and general public for their cooperation and remember to drive safe.

SNOWMOBILING SAFETY

Your safety depends on you. Whether snowmobiling in the front or back country in Gros Morne National Park, snowmobilers need to know the risks. The terrain can be challenging, the snow deep, weather conditions can change suddenly, and there is limited cell phone coverage.
