WSR (Logger’s School Rd. Area) :
There are no harvesting operations planned, but there will be trucking of pulpwood during the whole month of January for 7 days a week 24 hours a dayuntil all wood is trucked. See attached Map for location of affected area. There will have to be some detours put in place for grooming operations leading to the South shore of B.O.I. for January and the club will work with CBPPL for the best possible solutions. There is a small amount of wood that has to be moved of the trail area leading to the Shiver Shack, and this will be moved first and hopefully should not interfere with grooming operations. Signage will be posted by the WSR in the affected areas warning of the operations and riders have to be vigilant in the area of the dangers in the area and use extra care and caution and always give pulp trucks the right of way..
JTB (White Wash Road Area) :
There are no harvesting operations planned, but there will be trucking of pulpwood during the first 3 weeks of January until all wood is trucked. See attached Map for location of affected area. The trail leading to The SINK HOLE will not be accessible to snowmobiles at this time as this is where the bulk of the wood will be moving from. The section of White Wash Road leading from Route 430 to the registered snowmobile Trail will be plowed and sanded. Signage will have to be posted by the JTB in the affected areas warning of the operations and riders have to be vigilant in the area of the dangers in the area and use extra care and caution and always give pulp trucks the right of way. There is a small section of Registered trail that may have to be detoured for a short period of time to accommodate the trucking.
There are operations scheduled for Angle Pd. but should not impact Club Trails.
GBSC & ESA (Dawes Pd. Rd. Area) :
There will be harvesting operations in this area all winter and will cause a major disruption to snowmobiling in the area in particular on the ESA trail leading from Badger Lakes to the Dawes Pond area. The bulk of the operations will take place on the road leading from TCH to T’railway on the East side of Dawe’s Pd.(See attached Map) There is a small amount of wood to be cut on the Primary Trail on the West side of Dawe’s Pd. but this will be cut first and should only impact snowmobiling at the beginning of the season. As for the ESA trail on the East side of Dawes Pd, this section trail may have to close for the season as there doesn’t seem to be a way around it.
BSGSA: there will be no logging activity in this area this winter and Tim Moulton of CBPPL will give Justin a call on future plans.
DSA will have operations in the West Port area leading to saltwater and there should be no conflicts.
